Choir Tour 2016 “A Message from Des Moines”

The Wesley UMC Youth Choir Tour 2016 was truly a blessing to Kris and me at St. Mark Lutheran in Des Moines on Sunday evening! We hosted four wonderful young ladies for the night – Jessica, Eden, Courtney, and Samantha – all in their own unique way inspirational youth ambassadors from Wesley UMC. The congregation at Wesley UMC should be so proud of these young ambassadors sharing the hope and love of Christ and his importance in their daily lives. It was a delight to hear them so excited about the tour ahead as this was their first night out on the road. We learned these young ladies can polish off a pizza, breadsticks, and brownies in short order – shall we say ten minutes or less? We hope they return with the same energy and enthusiasm as they have started their tour. The home concert on June 19th is a must see/hear event for the Wesley UMC families! Truly talented youth sharing their gifts in concert is something special. A shout out to the INCREDIBLE handbell choir and their director Gail Joslin – there were new performance techniques that we had never seen or heard! Thank you for making St. Mark Luthern a stop along your tour! Many thanks to all the adult leaders of this AMAZINGLY talented group of musicians – Adria Schumann, Brenna Martin, Gail Joslin, and the rest of the crew of adult musicians and chaperones. May you have many more blessings as you continue your 2016 Choir Tour aptly themed “Fix My Eyes!”  Godspeed, Doug & Kris
