Healing Rides

Healing Rides is a new ministry of Wesley United Methodist Church. It is a free community service whose mission is to offer healing through sunshine, fresh air, and personal interaction to those in our community who may be marginalized in some way. Healing Rides will offer a bicycle ride on a specially designed Duet “Go-Anywhere” Wheelchair Bicycle Tandem. This bike chair will be driven by well-trained volunteers with a heart for this ministry. This community service will be for people who are unable to get out on their own and who may be marginalized due to age, disability, or economics. Please call the church office at 309-827-8046 to schedule a ride or to find out more about becoming a volunteer. This experience will enhance the quality of life for clients and volunteers alike.
