Wesley West Construction Project
WESLEY WEST CONSTRUCTION ADDITION PROJECT
Hundreds of local families are showing their desperate need for items that many people take for granted. These are common household items such as toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, diapers, wipes, and other basic needs.
The Wesley Distribution Ministry has answered this call for our local community dozens of times since January of 2018, serving an increasing number of neighbors over time. Since we began, the number of people who have found answers to their monthly prayers has more than doubled, reaching hundreds of families each month.

Because of the significant increase in the number of local families showing an urgent and regular need for the help of our Wesley Distribution Ministry, we have outgrown the space at Wesley West. And we anticipate helping more families than ever as time goes on! In order to meet the expanding need, a development project is being considered to remove and replace the existing drive-through lanes and canopy with a new, separate building south of Wesley West for the distribution ministry. This project will provide a more efficient means of helping our neighbors in need. It will also offer a shelter to our volunteers who stand for several hours per month during the cold winter months and hot summer days through rain or shine. The project has been initiated by, and will be primarily funded through, the Wesley Trustees who have experienced positive investment returns in recent years, and are eager to help Wesley expand its reach to our community.
This enclosed multi-lane-garage style facility is in the design phase at this time. The exact configuration and costs have not yet been finalized. We are currently working with the city of Bloomington to review and approve the necessary zoning requirements before we can proceed with construction. It is hoped the facility would be fully operational as soon as possible. Careful consideration is being given to rerouting the traffic flow during construction to limit disruptions to the ministry.
The proposed structure will allow the Wesley Distribution Ministry to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a safer and more efficient manner as its ministry evolves and expands.
